Enamelled ware vase ‘Banana Leaves’, Song dynasty

Ceramic modelled and decorated with ochre and brown glazes. It has a short circular foot and an elongated oval body that narrows at the neck. The body is decorated with a lattice of thin, overlapping banana leaves, accompanied by a decorative border of scrolls and small leaves around the neck. Jizhou kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
