Famille rose glazed porcelain vase ‘Scene’, with Kangxi mark

Modelled porcelain, decorated with coloured enamels on and under the glaze. It has a circular base and a rounded body, on top of which is a slender cylindrical neck that is slightly wider at the level of the mouth. The belly is decorated with a palace scene, with a court approaching a group of nobles gathered around a table. The neck is decorated with a traditional ‘rose family’ decoration of a network of branches and large lotuses in bloom on a faint yellow background. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大清康熙年制’ in underglaze blue.
