Description.
A porcelain vase standing on a flared circular base, with a slightly elongated oval body that narrows at the neck and ends in a wide circular mouth, simulating the shape of a lantern.
Both the neck and the base are decorated with a pinkish enamel background with sgraffito decorations of intertwining scrolls framing beautiful lotuses in blossom. The body shows a continuous scene of a beautiful landscape in enamel overglaze, richly decorated with thin, winding tree branches, large colourful peonies in blossom, leaves, craggy rocks and exotic birds of various types. At the base is a six-character seal ‘大清乾隆年制’ in underglaze red and in reserve on a turquoise-blue background.
Height 26.5 cm; Diameter mouth: 7.4 cm; Diameter base: 9.2 cm
