Figure of "Elephant with pagoda", 20th century

Freestanding figure made in three pieces of jade or hard stone, dark green tone. The lower part has the shape of an elephant and holds a building or pagoda. It shows inlays in the ashlar. Elephants are a recurring theme in Asian art and are associated with good deeds. It has faults.
