Description.
Foliate shaped box in gilded silver and inlaid with hard stones or ruby. It is made entirely in filigree forming vegetal scrolls, geometric lattices, flowers and auspicious characters. On the lid there is a "shou" character surrounded by five flowers holding beads. At the base there is a circle that acts as a support. It is in very good condition.
The five flowers relate to the idiom "五福来门" (Wfú lái mén) which refers to the "five blessings" since ancient times: longevity, wealth, well-being, good virtue and good death. The character "shou" reaffirms the relationship with longevity.
