Description.
Ceramic modelled on the natural shape of a ‘Suiseki’ stone with a steep profile and a hollowed-out surface, the upper part of which has four indentations designed to hold the tips of paintbrushes. It is decorated with an elegant ‘Geyao’ glaze in a whitish hue with a network of fine craquelure. On the base is a four-character seal ‘慎德堂制’ Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
