Gilded bronze figurine "Child", Qing dynasty

Beautiful gilded bronze figure. It shows the representation of a small child sitting on a square cushion, with bowed legs, straight body, arms bent and fingers pointing to the sky. The expression is jovial and amused, with big eyes and open mouth drawing a big smile. The head, flanked by two elongated ears, shows shaved hair except for the crown of the head, where the long hair is gathered in a high ponytail. Both the costume covering the infant and the cushion are lavishly adorned with floral and geometric embossed details.
