Gilt-bronze teapot, Tang style

A beautiful gilt-bronze teapot. It has a hollow, flared foot that supports a curved body with a short neck, covered by a concave lid. On either side of the body are a cylindrical, curved mouthpiece and a handle in the form of a dragon with a sinuous, scaled body and a fierce gaze. The surface is decorated with filigree details of curved branches filled with leaves and small galloping beasts in relief.
