Gilt-bronze ‘Winged Beast’ figurine, Qing dynasty

A gilded bronze figure in the form of a winged beast. It is crouching, with its legs tucked under its body, and its tail is cocked and twisted. Two small wings, which emerge from the chest, are shown tucked up, while the head is erect, with a fierce expression of a wide nose, open eyes and large jaws full of sharp fangs. It shows patina and wear due to ageing
