Glazed ceramic brush container ‘Characters’, Qing dynasty

A moulded porcelain vessel with a circular base and a cylindrical body with an underglaze white background. The exterior shows a continuous scene in coloured enamels arranged on the glaze. The scene depicts a nobleman and two of his servants in a beautiful garden filled with nature and elements of traditional Chinese architecture. With a seal at the top next to the rock.
