Description.

Modelled porcelain in the form of a vase with a circular base and a tubular body, which narrows at the shoulders where it has a short neck. It is decorated with underglaze blue and white enamels that form a continuous scene of small bats with outstretched wings flying over a raging sea amid a sky of ruyi clouds. In the upper area, two decorative borders with vegetal motifs cover the shoulders and neck. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大清乾隆年制’. Qing dynasty or later.
