Description.
A hollow-glazed porcelain figurine in a beautiful glossy cream colour. It shows the image of a traditional monk, in lotus posture, with his hands on his lap in ‘dhyana mudra’ on a pedestal with a rounded profile. He is dressed in a long robe with a large crown covering his head, adorned with lotus cartouches in relief inscribed with small depictions of the Buddha. His expression is serene, with his eyes closed, his nose wide and his lips drawing a subtle smile; two long ears flank his face.
