Description.
Sculpture of "Guanyin", literally interpreted as Bodhisattva of mercy, made in Dehua glazed porcelain, known as Blanc-de-Chine. The appearance of this divinity is dignified and kind; in addition, he usually has a lotus flower on his chest and wears a long robe covering his headdress. In this case she is standing on the waters showing a bare foot and with a serene expression. On her back is a 何朝宗 (He Chaozong) seal inscribed on a gourd-shaped cartouche.
