He Xuren (1882 - 1940) Porcelain plate "snowy landscape", 20th century

Decorative porcelain plate enamelled in grisaille. It depicts a landscape, surrounded by mountains and a forest, completely covered in snow. In the centre is a large gnarled pine tree that separates the scene. To the right is a large pavilion around which are small figures. Above the mountains is an inscription with two seals.

At the base is four characters in red, within a square, marked "许人出品" (Produced by Xu Ren).
