Description.
A beautiful white jade plaque from Hetian. It is rectangular in shape, with a slightly rounded profile and trimmed edges.
One side shows a scene in relief of a small monkey playing, hanging from the branch of a tree with fruit and large leaves, with its arms outstretched, as if swinging. On the reverse are poems also in relief. Both images are framed by a frame with a stepped profile, with archaic and traditional ruyi cloud decorations.
