Description.
Rectangular-shaped ink piece with reliefs on both sides. The main side shows a large dragon amidst waves against a background of clouds. At the top are three large characters. On the reverse is a cartouche with a poem, surrounded by the same clouds.
The expression "青麟髓" (Qinglin pith) appears, referring to the fact that "when an ink is used, the fragrance enters the nose and refreshes the mind". A similar sensation is obtained by lighting incense tablets.
Provenance: Important collection of Tommy Lam, Hong Kong, from 1980.
Size: 13.5 x 7.2 cm; Weight: 233 g
