Jade amulet 'Carp', Qing Dynasty

Amulet made of carved white jade. The amulet consists of four linked, movable parts. Three of the pieces, decorated with shells, dots and sinuous lines that simulate waves in relief, are grouped together and can be placed to form what resembles a fish tank. The fourth and last piece shows a small koi carp made in great detail.
