Description.
A light-coloured carved jade figure with reddish and ochre flecks. It shows the image of a goose with an elongated neck and upturned head facing the body. The wings are open and covered with fine feathers with incised details, as is the tail, which covers the bulging belly. The magnificent craftsmanship of the artisan, who has skilfully executed delicate details, is particularly noteworthy. Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) or later.
