Jade figurine “Mythological beast”, Qing dynasty

A light-toned jade figure inlaid with pink gems. Carved in the form of a mythological beast, it shows a being with the body of a bird, with large wings covered with incised feathers, shrunken back claws and an elongated tail ending in a volute; but with the head and arms of a man, with fleshy lips, flat nose, curly hair and large eyes made up of two gems. The image has an oval and flat shape, and stands out for the meticulousness with which the details have been made.
