Description.
White jade with reddish-gold flecks and carved, openwork and relief decorations. It depicts the figure of a phoenix with folded wings, a curved tail and a large half-open beak. A small, elongated dragon with a sinuous body rests on its back. It shows wear and patina from age. Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) or later.
