Description.
Jade carving in the form of a figure with bas-relief decoration and an ape-like face. It is in a squatting posture with its hands on its knees. There is a hole in the back for a cord. The jade has a brownish hue with a reddish patina due to age. Western Zhou Dynasty (770-221 BC).
