Jade seal with turtle, Western Han Dynasty

A square seal of white jade, with reddish-golden spots, carved in the shape of a 'dragon turtle'. The turtle is lying on a pedestal and shows the same carved decoration on the shell as on the sides. It is based on coiled forms. On the base is an engraved seal "軍司馬印" (Jūn sīma yìn). In very good condition with signs of patina due to age.
