Description.
A square blue jade seal, carved in the shape of a 'turtle'. The turtle is lying on a pedestal and has the details of its shell engraved on it. On the base is a stamp engraved "张敞" (Zhāng chang). In very good condition with signs of patina due to age.
The blue pigmentation seen among the composition of the jade has been caused by being in contact with other objects, composed of metals, for a long period of time.
