Description.
Hetian jade of a soft white colour, carved in the shape of a snuff-bottle. It has a rectangular, flattened body with rounded edges, crowned by a small circular mouth. It is decorated with two cartouches arranged on the front and back, showing on one side a calm pond with long lotus branches in bloom, and on the other two jovial ladies carrying musical instruments on a sea of clouds, all of which are executed in delicate relief.
