Description.
Jadeite carved in a single piece, white and green in colour, with brownish spots. It has an ascending rectangular body, on which is placed the free-standing image of a mythological beast with an imposing body, which is lying on its flexed legs. The head is tilted to one side, facing to the left, showing its sharp fangs between which it holds two long Lingzhi roots. At the base is a four-character seal ‘立受其福’ incised with traces of red sealing wax. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
