Description.
Made of porcelain decorated in underglaze blue and white. The 'Bianhu' or 'Moonflask' form has a circular body with a cylindrical neck, which widens to the mouth, and two arched side handles, ending in a scroll, which join the neck to the body. It is decorated with the eight auspicious symbols (bajixiang) inside cartouches that surround a flower within borders. The same border is repeated on the outer rim and mouth. The rest of the decoration consists of cloud scrolls.
Size: 58 x 12 x 37,5 cm.
Provenance: Acquired in Spain in the 1980s.
