Large porcelain bowl ‘Palace Scenes’, Qing dynasty

Porcelain bowl with enamelled overglaze decoration. It has a large, deep, rounded body, which expands at the height of the mouth with a wide turned rim. It is decorated with a background of borders with vegetal motifs such as large lotus blossoms and fruit-bearing branches on which are arranged large scenes filled with figures in a traditional Chinese garden, alternating with small lobed cartouches showing small birds resting on fine trees.
