Luis Navarro is born on October 11, 1935 in Barcelona. In 1955 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Navarra. Luis Navarro leaves Tudela for Barcelona. In 1960 in the great tradition of the Spanish painters of the twentieth century (Picasso, Gris, Miro, Saura, Bores, Luis Fernandez, Clavé, Arroyo), he moved to France, first in Nice and after in Cannes. Luis Navarro is also a great guitarist and developed his artistic work in parallel.
In 1965 he made his first drawings and paintings depicting faceless men and women. On many occasions he refuses to part with his paintings, except for rare wealthy collectors.
In 1982 he exhibits in Paris, with the famous Katia Granoff, who placed him at the forefront of contemporary painters. In 2000 painting in the Paris region or on the Costa Brava. On the advice of his admirers led by Stéphane Cherki, on November 8th 2005, he presented a retrospective of "Luis Navarro" on the Roof of the Grande Arche de la Défense, in Paris. 400 works were shown there, gathered for the first time, coming from the painter's collection or private collections.
