Description.
Ceramic modelled in the form of an elegant meiping vase, with a stylized body, broad shoulders, a short neck and a narrow circular base. It is decorated with scrolling patterns of fine branches filled with small leaves on the body, and a border of geometric motifs around the neck, all executed in a brown glaze on a cream background. Jishou Kiln, Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279) or later.
