Description.
Ceramic modelled in the form of a meiping vase, with broad, rounded shoulders and a stylized profile, tapering towards the base. It has a short neck and a mouth with a curved rim. The outside of the vase is covered with a thick glaze with a black ground and irregular brown and reddish patches. Jizhou kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
