Description.
Rubbed chordophone musical instrument from the 17th century or later in carved wood and folk decoration. The soundboard is pear-shaped, three strings, keyboard, crank and tuners on the top of the bridge, which ends in a scroll.
The Hurdy Gurdy was an instrument practiced among the people in France or Europe. There are numerous variants of this instrument between different regions and eras. The notes change by pressing the keys that shorten the melody string. The hand wheel creates the friction that makes the instrument sound.
