Description.
The ‘Mala’ is made up of a total of one hundred and eight spherical Liuli beads of intense black colour, between which three cylindrical orange agate beads are placed, and which ends with four knotted decorative beads added at a later date. The ‘Malas’ or ‘念珠’, are elements used for prayer in the Buddhist religion, as an instrument of the Dharma that helps the wearer to count the prayers or mantras recited. Minguo period (1912-1949).
