Description.
Pair of enamelled and gilded porcelain vases. The base has a mark, in underglaze blue, in the form of a shield with two inner lines.
Designed after a classical amphora, in neoclassical style, on a removable square base. The centre is decorated with large hand-painted classical scenes and the surrounding area is decorated with a low red-gilt background. The handles are gilded and take the form of mythological birds with the body made of acanthus leaves.
