Description.
Two modelled porcelain bowls, with a flat, circular base, on which the rounded body rises, with a curved profile and lobed rim, like the petals of a flower. The interior is decorated with a central medallion of engraved lotuses in blossom. The whole is covered with a beautiful ‘Dingyao’ glaze of a soft cream-coloured glaze, fainter at the edges. Ding kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
