Description.
Pair of plain porcelain dishes with a central enamel scene depicting three figures in a passageway between trees, rocks and bushes. One of them is on horseback with a lady and the third is a servant carrying some objects. The rim of the dish has a coral-enamelled background, which is decorated on top with scrolls, flowers and chrysanthemums in gilding, and lobed cartouches containing a Chinese lion entwined with branches. The reverse is undecorated and contains no marks or seals. In very good condition with light wear.
