Pair of glazed oprcelain vases ‘Birds’, Minguo period

A pair of quadrangular, modelled porcelain vases with an elongated body and rounded corners. They are decorated with overglaze enamels, with a continuous scene of colourful birds in a beautiful landscape full of vegetation, together with small poems. Two borders of curling flowering branches, arranged at the mouth and base, frame the central scene. They show a six-character stamp on the base ‘江西瓷业公司’.
