Pair of glazed vases with coral background and scenes, Minguo

Pair of small vases with a flattened and balustraded profile, with an oval belly, supported by a slightly flared foot and with a narrow and slender neck that expands at the mouth. The entire exterior shows horizontal ribs in slight relief, reminiscent of the morphology of a bamboo branch.

The interior of the vessels shows a beautiful sky-blue glaze, while the exterior has a vibrant coral-toned glaze, adorned with golden details of fine bamboo branches. This gilding is also found delicately covering the rim of the mouth of both vases. On the front side, arranged in the center of the belly, there is a lobed cartouche that frames a beautiful landscape with rocks, branches and beautiful chrysanthemums in bloom. On the back, there is a poem in black enamel on a white background, accompanied by two small seals. 

With stamp on the base of four characters “乾隆年制”.
