Description.
Two small greenish jade figures with reddish and ochre patches. They show a pair of elephants with an archaic representation, standing upright, with legs extended and a straight head crowned by a curled trunk. The body is decorated with details in relief of lines and scrolls, which try to simulate the morphology of the animal. Western Zhou Dynasty (11th century - 771 BC) or later.
