Description.
Carved wood assembled with a frame and panels with applications of jade and hard stones.
They represent valuable objects: a baluster vase with flowers and scroll decoration carved in relief, a censer with a foot and a lion, an elephant holding a "gu" vase with a standard on its back and finally two jade rings joined together. The carved wooden plaques are placed in pairs and represent scenes with children playing realized in relief inside on a lattice background.
On the reverse, done in gilt and painted, are scenes depicting children playing in a landscape with mountains in the background, a river with rocks, boats, pagodas and bridges. Provenance: Private collection, United States.
