Pair of plates “Ladies in the garden”, famille rose, Canton, 20th century

Glazed porcelain with the colors traditionally known as “ famille rose”. They show on the rim a thin border with a yellow background, followed by a wider one, with a blue background profusely decorated with scrolls of flowering branches and sinuous leaves. In the center, inscribed in a lobed cartouche, are two scenes depicting beautiful noble ladies in the garden engaged in various activities.
