Pair of small Cantonese vases, 20th century

Modelled porcelain, with a circular base and balustraded profile, tapering at the shoulders and widening into a large lobed mouth. Adorned with gilt details of beasts in relief, arranged on the neck and shoulders, over coloured enamel decorations, showing depictions of palace scenes with characters, on a background of scrolls, flowers and butterflies.
