Description.
Bronze figure, showing the image of a ‘Guru’ or master, seated on a lotiform throne, with his legs bent in ‘Dhyanasana mudra’, his torso erect, his hands resting on his lap, and his head straight, looking straight ahead. He is dressed in a long traditional costume, adorned with fine engraved motifs of clouds, waves and flowers, and his hair is tied in a high bun. His expression is serene, with narrowed eyes, a stubby nose, slightly smiling lips and large ears framing his face. It shows wear and tear from ageing. At the base is the central image of a lotus in flower, made by incision.
