Polychrome ceramic figure ‘Horseman’, Tang dynasty

Kaolin ceramic figure with visible traces of polychromy. It shows the image of a man, with both legs bent and arms stretched out in front of him, possibly riding a horse. He is dressed in the traditional clothing of merchants of the period. It is considered to be part of a larger composition, which would show the scene of the horseman, together with his horse, carrying a cart. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
