Porcelain cup, Famille Rose ‘Stories’, Qing dynasty

A small porcelain cup with a narrow circular base and a curved body that widens towards a thin, undulating mouth. The outside of the cup is decorated with elements, animals and characters in fine coloured enamels, which are accompanied by short traditional stories.On the base is a six-character seal in red ‘大清道光年制’.
