Porcelain doucai bowl with “Bogu Hua” scene, Qing dynasty

Porcelain bowl of circular plant and flared profile with “Doucai” decoration in underglaze blue and colored enamels. 

It shows on the outside, framed by five thin blue lines, located two at the top and three next to the foot, four circular medallions with typical “Bogu Hua” scenes on a background decorated with beautiful intertwined lotus branches from which emerge leaves and lotuses in bloom in shades of green, yellow, pink and red details. Inside is a medallion decorated with butterflies, flowering branches and bowls in underglaze blue, inscribed in a double blue circle. 

With six-character seal “大清道光年制” on the base, next to wax seal.
