Description.
Modelled porcelain, elongated in shape, with a bulging belly and a long cylindrical handle. It is decorated with ‘Doucai’ glazes, with a white background and underglaze blue decorations coloured with faint coloured overglaze glazes. They show fierce dragons with sinuous, scale-covered bodies, gaping jaws and five sharp claws, chasing flaming pearls in a sky of ruyi clouds. On the top of the neck is a six-character mark in underglaze blue ‘大明万历年制’.
