Description.
Decorated on the obverse with a scene and a poem. The scene is composed of two bird chicks surrounded by flowers, rocks and bamboo in enamel. On the left side is an inscription accompanying the scene "秋色清华/ 壬寅年/ 邓肖禹作" (Autumn in Qinghua / in the year Ren Yin / by Deng Xiaoyu) and two seals, also done in enamel. Deng Xiaoyu was a master of Jingdezhen pottery art who specialized in pastel painting.
The outside of the dish is glazed in monochrome greenish blue. On the reverse is a seal executed in red glaze that reads:
景德镇艺术瓷产 / 美研室 / 1962年 "Jingdezhen Artistic Porcelain Factory/Beauty Research Bureau/Year 1962."
