Description.
Decorative porcelain dish with lobed rim in the form of flower petals. It is decorated with brocade patterns in overglaze glazes (gold, blue, red and orange) and underglaze blue. In the center is a medallion depicting the immortal sage "Qingdao" on a "koi carp". The reverse has a line of curled leaves with orange and gold enameled flowers. In the center of the base is a three-character "Fukagawa sei" mark and an orchid, in underglaze blue. The Fukagawa/Koransha company produced porcelain ware for export in Arita, Japan.
