Porcelain-enamelled censer ‘Scene’, Qing dynasty

Porcelain covered with blue and white underglaze glaze. It has a short circular base and a curved body, which widens at the mouth. It shows a central scene of three figures arranged in a calm landscape around a ‘Go’ board, all framed by two decorative borders of petals and cartouches. The rim is finely covered with silver leaf.
