Description.
The porcelain is modelled and covered with a fine, milky-blue celadon glaze. It has a flattened, circular body, flanked by two handles in relief and standing on three short curved feet, imitating the structure of the traditional censer. In the upper area there are four hollows designed to hold water, ink, pigment, etc. One of them is covered by a small, curved, wooden box. One of them is covered by a concave, lobed lid in the shape of a gourd. Hutian Kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
